Healthy & Easy Caramelized Apples One-pot Recipe | Sweetened with Date Syrup & Molasses (No Added Sugar)
My sister has recently been making some warm, beginner-friendly dishes, and I absolutely liked this one. So let's make some healthy & easy caramelized apples using just one pot. It's only sweetened with date syrup and molasses...
Ingredients:
2 apples, peeled and diced
2–3 tbsp date syrup (adjust to taste)
1–2 tbsp molasses (adjust to taste)
½ tsp cinnamon powder
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Peel and dice the apples into bite-sized pieces.
In a medium pot, add the date syrup and molasses. Place the apples inside so they’re partially submerged.
Sprinkle in the cinnamon powder and add the vanilla extract.
Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and coated in the thick, glossy syrup (about 10–15 minutes).
That's all! Serve warm as a topping for oatmeal, yogurt, or pancakes. I mostly just enjoy it on its own as a warm, spiced dessert, but you can also try it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
