Fall Semester Research Setup: A 6-Step Workflow from Question to Verified Citations

Literature Review to Verified Citations with One AI tool (Full Demo)

If you have ever started a literature review, you know the exact moment the friction sets in. You have a single research question, so you open four separate tabs: Google Scholar, PubMed, and a couple of AI tools. You type roughly the same query into each one, get back wildly different results, and immediately lose track of what you’ve already read.

Click here to visit Scispace & get started.

Standard search engines rely heavily on rigid keyword matching, forcing you to guess the exact phrasing an author used. SciSpace approaches search semantically, querying a repository of over 280 million papers to surface research based on conceptual meaning rather than just matching text. Instead of spending your first hour managing tabs, you run your query once to pull up highly relevant work.

(Check out the video walkthrough below to watch this complete research session unfold step-by-step.)

Finding a promising abstract is only half the battle; hitting a paywall is usually where research stalls. Most people give up at the paywall screen and look for an alternative paper. By linking your university credentials via LibKey directly inside the interface, SciSpace checks your institution's subscriptions. If your university licenses the journal, the full paper opens instantly in the same workspace. From there, you can interrogate the PDF directly, asking specific questions about sample sizes or methodology limitations, without reading thirty pages just to determine basic relevance.

Naturally, speed means nothing if the underlying search is shallow. A fast tool that misses critical literature is worse than doing things manually. To evaluate search quality, SciSpace’s search engine was benchmarked against PubMed, Google Scholar, Consensus, and Elicit.

Once you have established your core foundational paper, the real challenge begins: scaling that single source into a comprehensive 40-paper review. Running a deep research query across your topic automatically screens the literature, filters out irrelevant papers, and organizes findings into a structured review report. Instead of manually populating spreadsheets and organizing folders of unread PDFs, the platform compiles the evidence while keeping your focus on analyzing the findings.

Crucially, an automated report is only as valuable as the integrity of its sources. Hallucinated citations remain a major concern in AI-assisted research. With verified reports, every claim connects to an actual, clickable paper. Benchmarked at 97% citation accuracy, the system ensures that when you audit random citations, they lead directly to real studies supporting the statement. While a manual sanity check remains an essential practice, verified links drastically reduce the time needed for source auditing.

Finally, you can bring your verified research directly into your active writing setup. Using the SciSpace Claude Connector, you can query your cited papers inside Claude without hitting context limits or copy-pasting abstracts across windows. This keeps your entire workflow, from initial query to final draft, connected in a single pipeline.

I recently attended a Korean skincare and makeup class by a very skilled Korean instructor, and here's the exact routine we used in class.

But first, let me share with you the ever-confusing order of skincare products.
The exact order we learned is:

1. Cleansing water

2. Cleanser (cream or gel for dry skin; mousse for oily skin)

3. Toner

4. Essence (or sheet mask, containing essence)

5. Serum

6. Lotion (for oily skin)

7. Cream (for dry skin)

We learned that the packaging and delivery of the product don't generally matter as long as you use the right formula for your skin type; it's best to avoid heavy/oily products if you have oily skin. And it's always a good idea to start your routine with water/water-based products and move your way to heavier/oilier products; water helps open up the skin, and oily products help seal this moisture.

Next, I'll show you each product we used in the class with its link (and price). All products were from Hyggee cosmetics. I couldn't find all the products on their official website, so I linked different websites so that you can have an idea of the prices.

1. HYGGEE All-In-One Care Cleansing Water

2. HYGGEE pH Hyaluron Gel Cleanser full size (200 ml) and mini (50 ml)

3. HYGGEE Own Vegan Calming Pads

4. HYGGE Calming Green Flower Sheet Mask

5. HYGGEE Natural Repair Serum

6. Hyggee - Natural Repair Cream

7. HYGGE Vegan Sun Cream

Personally, I really liked the toner pads and the cream. I use the toner pads frequently; they're so versatile. I even sometimes use them to freshen up the underarm area or just leave them on as a "sheet mask." As for the cream, it has a very light formula that allows me to use it all over my face, even in the summer. I haven't had any issues (a week later) till now. I haven't yet tried the sheet mask, but I have high hopes for it based on the ingredients.

Primark Beauty Haul Pt.2 With Demo/ try on with prices & product list | Pep mall Primark Munich, Germany

Product list & prices

PS... Travel Makeup Brush Set here £4.00

Printed Towel Wrap here £8.00

9pk Jumbo Satin Sleep-In Scrunchies here $5.00

(I think I got them for £4.00)

Each of these items is a great purchase that I use every day! I'm really glad I got them. Especially the towel wrap, it's genius. The brush set is very practical and easy to use and, most importantly, keep clean. I just slept in my jumbo scrunchies and woke up with very nice waves. They would've been nicer had I used a leave-in, but I was too lazy; what I especially like about them is that you can just keep them by your bed and just 'curl' your hair in no time before you sleep. They're really easy to use. Overall, each item is very convenient and saves me so much time, so I'm really glad I picked it up. What are your Primark favourites?
