I bet all of us have struggled with skin-related issues at least once before. Some of us are already blessed, genetically, with clear skin and we all envy them to be honest, don't we? I've dealt with acne before. It wasn't bad at all. But, obviously, it bothered me and I always hoped it'd disappear magically one day. But there's no such thing as magical healing, is there?Oh wait! There're beauty products! anti- acne beauty products, many options, tingly face masks, expensive facials and cleansers that, mostly, treat the outer layer of the skin and have little to no effect especially on the long run. I used to have that patch on my left cheek that was full of red pimples that seemed to never go away. I'm not going to lie, I actually lost hope and stopped searching for solutions for a very long time. I decided to ignore it and go on with my life. Until I'd cut dairy out of my diet. My pimples are now non-existent and my skin is clear. I only have some blemishes from past pimples and small little spots on my forehead from when I had chicken pox (they get better as the time passes).
At first I didn't know that it was dairy that was causing all the acne until I watched a video on how dairy consumption can affect one's skin in a very bad way. In the simplest way possible, dairy messes up your hormones leading to bad acne and pimple to arise on your skin, it can also make your skin very oily (which was one of my problems too!). Ever since I cut dairy out of my diet I've noticed that my skin was only getting better and that I only got a spot, if any, around my period time and that was it! My skin used to be overly oily and now it's just the T-zone that can produce some oil throughout the day if I'm wearing makeup or a heavy sunscreen!
I know it sounds like magic but I like to think that the skin is a soil and beauty products are fertilisers. If the soil is unhealthy, dry, chemically abused and is in a bad condition, no fertilisers can help it. That's why when someone wants to have healthy skin they ALWAYS want to start with their diet. Whether it's cutting out dairy, consuming more plants or drinking more water, that's all what matters when it comes to skin care because what you eat shows on your skin.
These tips also help my older sister A LOT. She struggles with acne and she's always wanted to get rid of it. At first she didn't really pay much attention to my advice until she experienced it herself. She finds that when she consumes less dairy her skin is in a much better state! After I had cleared my skin, I started using less products in my skincare routine. I actually only use cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen! Another tip is to pick your .skin care products wisely and to cut out the harsh chemicals out of your skincare routine

That's it for today's post, there're SO many things that I still want to talk about regarding this topic but I'll make sure I share my thoughts with you all. I hope you find anything helpful in this post. Once I noticed positive results I immediately came here to report to you.

You might have already seen so many lip balms that come in a tin before but I don't think that you've ever seen a JELLY lip balm. Yes, jiggly jelly!!"A moisturizing lip balm with a tender, jelly-cushion texture that hydrates and minimizes the look of fine lines."
As I was looking around for something eye-catching for the beloved "Beauty News" I found this range of lip balms too attractive (just in the right timing with back to school season right around the corner). The packaging is SO cute and all doodley and artsy. I also think that it's very displayable in a non gimmicky way.
Speaking of packaging, the product comes in a very cute "chest of drawers" inspired type of cardboard box which makes me reminisce about the time when I made a whole vanity out of cardboard when I was little...
| how it looks like from above "This product is NOT tested on animals and is free of ammonia, urea, benzyl alcohol, benzophenone-3, imidazolidinyl urea, triethanolamine, triclosan, bha, and bht." |
The product gives a sheeny effect and a healthy glow which I much prefer as I find it very youthful...

and How is this a "Beauty news" post without a detailed chart??
I personally think that some colours look very similar in this range. My favourite one out of this whole range (you probably already guessed it) is spilled wine; It's SO beautiful. I can only imagine the wash of colour on my lips that looks almost like you've just had some plums!

I personally like the concept of this product in theory but in everyday, practical life, I don't picture myself paying this much for a wash of colour and a sheeny effect when I can get the same effect for much cheaper. What do you think about this product? would purchase it?

Hello! so, I was scrolling (poker-faced) on instagram until I came across this baby right here and I immediately thought to myself "BEAUTY NEWS!".
There are some things that are like "meh, whatever" and then there're other things that are like "OMG WHAT?" and this, everyone, is one of them.
The "Miracle Diamond Sponge by Real Techniques" is the newest member to their amazing makeup sponges range and the newest member of the "Bold Metals" collection (yes, just when you thought that the collection couldn't get any more perfect).
Also, my humble pharmacist to be self will gladly ignore the fact that diamonds are not "metals" because honestly, who cares??
If this isn't beauty then I don't know what is...
Real talk over here. It looks quite intimidating to use at first glance. SO many angles and l'm like, how am I supposed to use this? but luckily there was a video posted with a demo and also a picture with instructions. Check them out...

I honestly was shocked at the amount of hate comments on this video. However I can understand why people would think it's gimmicky. I personally would like to try it out. It looks very interesting (and very cute too!)

overall, I'm really excited for it and would like to try it out. What do you think about it?
Hello everyone! Remember those good old days when I used to write about what's new in the beauty world? well, "Beauty News" is back everyone! I really enjoyed writing these posts and I found myself a LOT more informed on the new beauty products so I felt like beauty news might as well make you more aware of all the new interesting products out there.
is a brand that has been around for quite sometime and I haven't heard of it until recently when it went quite popular on youtube. I recognize their products for being too easy to use, most of their products come in a chubby stick form which I quite like.

They just recently came up with a highlighter in a stick form, it's a "Holographic" highlighter. Smart move over there, Milk Makeup. Just when this whole madness about "Holosexuals" AND highlighters took over the internet, Milk Makeup combined these two new obsessions in one product. So, marketing and business wise, it's a great move at the right time.

Makeup wise, the product comes in this chubby retractable stick which I find very user-friendly. It seems like it has a cool tone to it which I happen to steer away from, see the swatches..

First thought that came into my head when I saw the pictures above was "Um, yeah, another fad product to feed the ever growing internet obsession with highlighters and holographic things" but before I made any legitimate judgments I had to see the highlighter in action. No, not the website's embedded video. Maybe a youtube video?
So, I watched the video above and was thinking "maybe it isn't so bad after all" the product looked SO good on her cheeks but I noticed that it creased on her eyes as it's a cream product. However, I really like how it turned out on her cheeks and inner eye corners.

I personally don't think that cool tones look good on me so I wouldn't give this product a go as I prefer warmer toned product especially for a highlighter.

It looks like a CHUNK of "WOAH"ness at first but if I found that if you apply it subtly and blend it out really well it will look really wearable.

I would love to say it can work as a wash of colour on the eyelids but it creases as I saw in the video mentioned above unless you set it with powder or another eyeshadow which totally defeats the purpose of this highlighter to be honest.

Overall, I think it isn't fair to make a judgment on a product that I haven't used but from what I've seen so far, I think it won't work for me and I think it works best for:
- People with cool undertones
- Holosexuals (lol)
- Highlighter collectors and fanatics may find this product very interesting too.
- People who like to experiment with makeup in general.
May you all have a nice rest of the day and for myself, I'll go have some pizza. Let me know your thoughts in the comments.

Eyeshadows! What's better than them? (probably lipsticks but they're still great..). Add them to any look and watch them take it to the next level. Seriously, I was a bit intimidated by wearing eyeshadows in public in the morning when I first started wearing makeup. I felt like everyone would stare at me like "What's up with this b****? Too much makeup!!". Even though nobody cares about what other thinks, I myself felt like I was doing too much for the morning so all I did was just winged eyeliner (a staple for me), sometimes I wear concealer, powder, mascara and a lip product (usually just a hydrating lip balm) and sometimes I only wear eyeliner and that's all! (Regarding my everyday morning makeup).
But one morning, I woke up a bit earlier than I usually did so I had so much time to get ready which means, time to glam this face up a bit! I picked up my neutral shadows and kind of defined the crease a bit using a matte brown shadow and I quite liked it! From there, I started including shimmer in my makeup (just on the lid) and I still had a natural look but much better! So, today I'm going to talk you through my staple neutral go-to shadows that are great for everyday and how you can have your own!
Something Matte
Let's start with the matte part of the collection. If you want to build your own go-to neutrals collection then you need to start with neutral matte eyeshadow. It can literally be used for every single look for every occasion!
[try this palette]
If you watch my channel or read my blog frequently then I'm sure that you're already getting sick of this palette. I mention it all the time but that's for a reason. It has different shades of matte browns + an orange shade + a white shade (I know it needs a black in there *sigh*) and this makes it perfect for deepening the crease and giving the eyes more definition...
You can also use an angled brush to softly line your eyes with a dark brown shadow or to even smudge a kohl liner ..
Something Subtle
and by subtle I mean something that has the tiniest amount of fine shimmer particles or that has a glowy finish to it. So you can get away by applying it all over your lid, as a highlight or even as a transition colour.
You also can apply it on it's own on the lid and drag it slightly to the crease as you blend and it won't look as boring as a matte shadow on it's own ..
These eyeshadows have very tiny shimmer particles that are not that noticeable so I use them in every single way possible.
Here's a swatch of an eyeshadow that I love. The subtle shimmer doesn't translate on camera but it's beautiful...

Something Shimmery
Yes! even in the morning, you still can rock shimmery eyeshadow and look great! as long as you apply it right on the lid (or in the inner corners) and it's neutral.

I got this palette long ago and never thought I would reach for it in the morning. But it happened and I'm liking it!

In the morning I usually reach for either the gold or rose gold shadows the most. I don't use the aubergine-y shade that much because it's a bit intense...

Can you see the shimmer in it? I love it.

Here's a swatch of the gold shade that I always use (two layers of it) along with the other swatches of the eyeshadows we mentioned earlier to sum this post up.
Palettes that meet all three criteria:
L.A. Girl Beauty Brick Eyeshadow
Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette
