Hello everyone! I'm back with a new rather experimental post. It feels so good to be back after finals and all that stress but we will discuss that later. Now, I'm pretty sure you've heard of Farahdhukai before and if you haven't then you're probably not on instagram because she's a beautiful lady that is well known for her quick insta beauty remedies which include facial masks, hair masks etc. I usually come across her videos on instagram and watch them for no reason to be honest I just like watching the end result I guess *shrugs*. I've never tried her remedies mainly because I don't have the ingredients/tools needed and I can't be bothered to go out and buy them. But one day, and for some reason, my mum brought home some fenugreek seeds and that sparked something in my head instantly. I remembered a video I watched a while back of Farah using the seeds for her hair as well as skin so I quickly wanted to try it to see for myself if it works.

The first thing that I did was boiling it in a pot and let it there for about 30 minutes.

After this I separated the seeds and the water because I'll be using the stock later on.

I used a pestle to grind the seeds as it was late at night and I didn't want to wake everyone up by using a blender or whatever.

I then used the paste on my face as a mask. It wasn't as thick as it was in Farah's video but it did dry up after a couple of minutes. It was stingy and almost had a burning effect. I have to say I was so eager to wash it off because it was quite irritating. It made my skin a bit red but nothing too dramatic. I would recommend using a bit on the back of your hand to see if it's too harsh to use on the face. I didn't notice any difference other than mild redness so I'd say the facial wasn't for me.

As for the stock, I used it on my entire hair and slept with it on. The next day I washed my hair and it was remarkably shinier than usual and pretty smooth. My sister also tried it and reported the same results.

I bet all of us have struggled with skin-related issues at least once before. Some of us are already blessed, genetically, with clear skin and we all envy them to be honest, don't we? I've dealt with acne before. It wasn't bad at all. But, obviously, it bothered me and I always hoped it'd disappear magically one day. But there's no such thing as magical healing, is there?

Oh wait! There're beauty products! anti- acne beauty products, many options, tingly face masks, expensive facials and cleansers that, mostly, treat the outer layer of the skin and have little to no effect especially on the long run. I used to have that patch on my left cheek that was full of red pimples that seemed to never go away. I'm not going to lie, I actually lost hope and stopped searching for solutions for a very long time. I decided to ignore it and go on with my life. Until I'd cut dairy out of my diet. My pimples are now non-existent and my skin is clear. I only have some blemishes from past pimples and small little spots on my forehead from when I had chicken pox (they get better as the time passes).

At first I didn't know that it was dairy that was causing all the acne until I watched a video on how dairy consumption can affect one's skin in a very bad way. In the simplest way possible, dairy messes up your hormones leading to bad acne and pimple to arise on your skin, it can also make your skin very oily (which was one of my problems too!). Ever since I cut dairy out of my diet I've noticed that my skin was only getting better and that I only got a spot, if any, around my period time and that was it! My skin used to be overly oily and now it's just the T-zone that can produce some oil throughout the day if I'm wearing makeup or a heavy sunscreen!

I know it sounds like magic but I like to think that the skin is a soil and beauty products are fertilisers. If the soil is unhealthy, dry, chemically abused and is in a bad condition, no fertilisers can help it. That's why when someone wants to have healthy skin they ALWAYS want to start with their diet. Whether it's cutting out dairy, consuming more plants or drinking more water, that's all what matters when it comes to skin care because what you eat shows on your skin.

These tips also help my older sister A LOT. She struggles with acne and she's always wanted to get rid of it. At first she didn't really pay much attention to my advice until she experienced it herself. She finds that when she consumes less dairy her skin is in a much better state! After I had cleared my skin, I started using less products in my skincare routine. I actually only use cleanser, moisturiser and sunscreen! Another tip is to pick your .skin care products wisely and to cut out the harsh chemicals out of your skincare routine

Sleep well, eat healthy, drink water, clean and exfoliate regularly, never go out without

.sunscreen and ALWAYS moisturise.

Hello everyone! Remember those good old days when I used to write about what's new in the beauty world? well, "Beauty News" is back everyone! I really enjoyed writing these posts and I found myself a LOT more informed on the new beauty products so I felt like beauty news might as well make you more aware of all the new interesting products out there.

is a brand that has been around for quite sometime and I haven't heard of it until recently when it went quite popular on youtube. I recognize their products for being too easy to use, most of their products come in a chubby stick form which I quite like.

They just recently came up with a highlighter in a stick form, it's a "Holographic" highlighter. Smart move over there, Milk Makeup. Just when this whole madness about "Holosexuals" AND highlighters took over the internet, Milk Makeup combined these two new obsessions in one product. So, marketing and business wise, it's a great move at the right time.

Makeup wise, the product comes in this chubby retractable stick which I find very user-friendly. It seems like it has a cool tone to it which I happen to steer away from, see the swatches..

First thought that came into my head when I saw the pictures above was "Um, yeah, another fad product to feed the ever growing internet obsession with highlighters and holographic things" but before I made any legitimate judgments I had to see the highlighter in action. No, not the website's embedded video. Maybe a youtube video?

So, I watched the video above and was thinking "maybe it isn't so bad after all" the product looked SO good on her cheeks but I noticed that it creased on her eyes as it's a cream product. However, I really like how it turned out on her cheeks and inner eye corners.

I personally don't think that cool tones look good on me so I wouldn't give this product a go as I prefer warmer toned product especially for a highlighter.

It looks like a CHUNK of "WOAH"ness at first but if I found that if you apply it subtly and blend it out really well it will look really wearable.

I would love to say it can work as a wash of colour on the eyelids but it creases as I saw in the video mentioned above unless you set it with powder or another eyeshadow which totally defeats the purpose of this highlighter to be honest.

Holosexuals (lol)
Highlighter collectors and fanatics may find this product very interesting too.
People who like to experiment with makeup in general.
